As parents, there are some things you simply cannot assign to or pass on to your children due to their inexperience. The Lord does that with us as well. As our loving Father, He begins to prepare us for something greater. From time to time during this process, we fuss and wonder ‘why we don’t already have it?’ or ‘why aren’t we there yet?’.  Unknowingly, we are delaying the progression with our complaining or discontentment. Our flat out ungratefulness is derailing God’s will for our lives.

Have you ever seen a child so far gone with a tantrum, an attempt was made to give the child something desirable and it was rejected. The child’s vision was blurred with tears and so they constantly shouted NO. Well, some of us are throwing tantrums and the Lord is trying to give answers. Are you responding “No, that can’t be it”? The child’s tears are comparable to our pride and emotions.

Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Poor In Spirit

For a long time, I didn’t understand that like some of you…this should help: Lord may I decrease, so that you may increase…in Jesus name Amen! Decrease and Increase? Diminish one self and let the Lord be magnified. How do you do that? SET DOWN PRIDE! Pride is so subtle.  I know what would help: get in the Word for answers and actually ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in your decision making. The Holy Spirit is gentleman. He will try to get your attention at times but after being rejected with the “I will do this my way” mentality, He chilaxes (chill and relax). You will need to get him involved if you are a person used doing everything on your own.

You remain inexperienced if you are not willing to be poor in spirit (setting down pride; not leaning to your own emotions). You will not fulfill God’s best. You will be unhappy.

Believers are called and chosen to do certain, specific things. When we’re away of those things, we are as a mirror to the world. People can’t tell you know Jesus when you are not following Him!  Be willing to learn, be willing to go through, be will to be corrected, and be willing to be wrong!

Inexperience, in short, will get you no where. Really! If you are not experiencing God’s kingdom, what’s the point?

Have a blessed One
